Opal Coaches Pty Ltd was placed into Voluntary Administration when the Managing Director Mr Mario Alfonso, once an outstanding Tax Debt was discovered from way back to 2007/2008 a period where Mr Alfonso had undergone 2 life saving operations for a disease called Diverticulitis part of Mr Alfonso’s bowel and colon were removed and on each occasion Mr Alfonso spent considerable amount of time away from work.

Opal Coaches has had a strong backing from all its clients and bookings are being strongly received well into July 2012 already. Opal Coaches has been expertly guided by Mr Anthony Elkerton (Pitcher Partners) to put in place improved and updated accounting systems and practices employing a new dynamic team to assist and ensure errors are not made in the future.

In all this difficulty he has succumbed to Mr Alfonso says in the Statement the VA process has been made easy by the Administrators the most difficult part is dealing with a overzealous and quite vindictive ex employee of Opal Coaches whom has spread senseless and baseless rumours to Opal Clients worldwide.

Mr Alfonso is still miffed at how an ex employee gained access after employment to the companies computers and client email addresses. The future for Opal Coaches looks bright with Mr Alfonso having just returned from an overseas business visit where more work for the young fleet has been gained.

Lastly Mr Alfonso wishes to state he has been in the coaching Industry since the days he was a Junior at AAT Kings Coaches spending over 20 years at AAT Kings from 1984.

BUT the most heart warming is that there are 3 people whom stand out. Mr David Nickels (GM Driver Bus Lines and former AAT Kings driver)Mr Joe La Face Around Town Tours and Mr Paul Crowther whom are the only 3 Industry Colleagues that keep in contact with Mr Alfonso and enquire on his well being during this “stumbling block” in life it's been amazing how the words VA seem to make you an outcast to people whom for years you regarded as friends Opal Coaches will come out of this a better and stronger company that will always strive to provide excellent service to its large Inbound Clients including The Manly Sea Eagles where Mr Alfonso has the contract in place for another 2 years at least.

Manly is my love and my passion and this club has stood by me tremendously.
